Hi Yolanda & Telly,

We, the members of the City East Constituency Branch of the United Progressive Party wish to express our profound thanks and appreciation to you for the enjoyable weekend we spent at Beachside Villas from May 25 to 28 of this year.

Our deepest appreciation goes to your very warm and friendly staff, from your Front of House Manager, Marvlyn, to your room attendants, the yards men and the security personnel. They all afforded us a level of comfort and security that was unsurpassed. Also, mention should be made of our taxi driver, John, who had been very patient and kind to us. He was a real team player, and made us feel very much at home.

The villas were beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable, and it was abundantly obvious that you had taken nothing for granted. They were everything you said they would be, and as a specialized group, with our leader being the Minister of Tourism in Antigua, we would have been more analytical than most.

In our estimation, a rating of excellent would be an understatement. It is the sort of place that one would have no problem recommending to friends and families. We can definitely say that Beachside Villas is our destination of choice in St. Maarten.

Again, thank you for making our weekend getaway so enjoyable.

Dear Yolanda,

I first learned about Beachside Villas from a friend who had booked two weeks of vacation with you in early April. My husband and I had planned on going to the Grand Canyon and the surrounding area, but one look at her brochure she shared with me and I completely changed our plans. In order not to infringe on her vacation, I booked a few weeks after her so that way she could fill me in on the things to do and where to eat. But I really didn't need to wait to hear from her because you had already put together everything you could possible want/need in your brochure.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with your villas; they were so clean and roomy, and we loved that we had beverages waiting for us upon our arrival. What a nice touch. We loved stepping out onto the deck and onto the beach, and the majority of the time, it was just us on the beach, no crowds to contend with. We went to the pool every night and never ran into any of your other guests. We also took your advice and froze some steaks and had them on the grill the second night we were there.

Marvlyn was so pleasant and very approachable. You are very lucky to have her; she is very knowledgeable and friendly.

While we were there, my husband and I decided that we would like to treat our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren to a vacation in the spring of 2009, and have decided that Beachside Villas is where we will be taking them. They are very excited about going!

After our return, I shared our experience with a co-worker, and she is now organizing a trip with several friends to stay at the Villas in the spring of 2008. Just today, I was chatting with someone who wanted to vacation this winter, but had no idea where to go, so I gave them your web site, and told them our experience.

I want to thank you for one of the most fabulous vacations we have ever had! We wish everyday that we were back there, just relaxing and enjoying the island! We will be returning to paradise, but not soon enough.

Hey Guys,

Well, it was wonderful! We loved Beachside - so cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved reading and napping on the patio to the sound of the waves. The breath taking view morning, noon and night was incredible. I haven't taken that many pictures in years.

I loved walking the beach each morning - sometimes twice a day. The staff was incredible! Always going out of their way for our every need and to make us feel comfortable in every way.

Our daughter and son-in-law were crazy about the place too. They were making plans to return with a group of their friends. I'm sure you will be hearing from them soon.

We left for Mexico a week after we returned home from Beachside and have been on the road pretty much ever since. I didn't want another day to pass without letting you know how much we enjoyed being there and how wonderful everyone was.

Thanks so much for your help in preparing for the trip. I look forward to being back there soon.

Dear Yolanda,

Just wanted to let you know how much we loved our stay at Beachside Villas. The villa was beautiful, the beach was beautiful and Marvlyn was a wonderful hostess. We are already talking about coming back at the end of October for another visit. I know how impressed we all were when we first saw the villas last January and we were not disappointed at all when we finally stayed there. You have done a wonderful job of creating a perfect little paradise spot. Keep up the tradition and we look forward to many more returns to Beachside Villas in the future.

Dear Yolanda & Telly,

Just a small note to thank you for the wonderful mini vacation we had while staying at your exquisite property. Home couldn't have been better, unless we had a beach right at our back door.

We loved it. We couldn't have been happier and you can rest assured that I will tell EVERYONE (I can't escape my sales background) about this new oasis that we discovered.

AND, to add the cream to the top of the ice cream, so to speak, you have a professional, friendly, accommodating staff. How did you manage to find them? Marvlyn is by far the best! Her smile, her mannerisms, her helpfulness, is what everyone dreams of meeting and working with. She is a gem, but then again, Beachside Villas is the jewel of St. Maarten, and Marvyln is just a part of the piece, a very important part.

Thanks again! We plan on returning in the fall and look forward to staying once again.

Hi Yolanda and Telly:

Hard to believe our seventh visit to St. Maarten and Beachside Villas is over already. I know I keep saying things can't get better - but they actually do!

The grounds were just beautiful this year. The trees and shrubs have matured and the flowers were in full bloom. Just breathtaking!

Our stay at the condos was wonderful. It's amazing how relaxed one can get by walking in the front door, opening the sliding doors onto the private, lovely beach, just steps to the water. There were times when the entire beach was practically deserted. We felt like we were living the lifestyle of the rich and famous!

It's still hard for me to believe people rent places where they either have to pack up and drive to the beach, or stay at a place with little beach privacy. Not to mention finding a chair. Our "private" chairs sit just off our deck for our own personal use.

The condo was excellent, as usual. We didn't want for a thing. The gardeners and housekeeping staff, although always working hard, were still as friendly as ever. We were very impressed with your new manager Marvlyn. She is an excellent addition to your staff and we look forward to visiting with her next year.

Dear Yolanda:

Thank heaven for the Internet, which allowed me to find Beachside Villas! I want to tell you how very much we enjoyed our vacation there. It was all we had hoped it would be. My sister and I were looking forward to a week of relaxation and "doing nothing", and we accomplished our goal. It was so nice to have the ocean literally at our doorstep. My brother-in-law especially appreciated the covered deck, allowing him to escape lengthy exposure to the sun. He had sun poisoning some years back and is careful about how much sun time he gets.

I know you get many letters from past occupants of the villas telling you how wonderful your staff is, and you can add our kudos to the list. Each and every one of them made every effort to accommodate our every need. It was such a pleasure to be greeted each day by Joan's smiling face. She is a gem.

All four of us agreed that we would have a very hard time finding a better place to stay. We've already begun discussing how we can manage to arrange a return trip, and to make it a lengthier stay. None of us wanted to leave!

Dear Yolanda,

We have just returned from our second stay at Beachside and we had another wonderful experience. We have been all over St. Maarten staying at hotels, condos and time-shares, but none of them match the experience at Beachside. Where else are all the rooms on the first floor and when you go out your front door you are only 20 steps, through the sand, from the ocean. If you don't like the ocean, take a left turn and go to the pool.

The staff is great, you ask for something and it's done. You do not have to ask twice and they are courteous and always have a smile.

One of the greatest points of Beachside is the peacefulness. We spent many hours in the morning and at night sitting on our veranda reading or just watching the waves continually breaking on the beach. This sent us home relaxed and stress free.

And that convenience store at Maho is great. It's only minutes away and has everything we could need or want. We visited it every day, we had French pastries for dessert every night. The prices were the lowest on the Island.

Restaurants on St. Maarten are always a challenge; you want good food and good service at reasonable prices. The restaurants you suggested hit the mark on all three. We visited Pineapple Pete's three times, which we never do on vacation. Also, all the eateries have carryout, so we would buy fish and chips or hamburgers and return to our villa, eat on the veranda, watching the waves break on shore. Very relaxing.

Needless to say, we had a great time and are eagerly looking forward to our visit next year.

Dear Yolanda,

I am sorry to take so long to write this letter to you. There hasn't been a day go by that I don't think of Beachside Villas and when I think of Beachside, the first word that comes to mind is WOW!!!! It's a funny thing, every year that I leave, I think that was perfect. I come back the following year and it's even better. Looking back, this past March was my seventh visit to Beachside. No wonder why it always feels like home.

This year was very special though. You, Telly and the rest of your family added so much to the "home" atmosphere. We played frisbee on the beach, went swimming in the pool, out to lunch and the casinos, read some of the same books, as well as many other activities, just as if we were all family. What a treat!!!

Of course, all the staff is just as friendly and efficient as always. We pulled in the gate to be greeted by Irene, with her big smile, kissing each of us. It was great to see all the same faces with the room attendants and gardeners alike, all of them recognizing us too and also with wonderful greetings. All week, the place looked great, no doubt to yours and Telly's effort in the gardening department, everything was beautiful. Irene couldn't do enough for us and always on top of everything. What more can one want?

As you know, the last couple of years, we've had friends meet us down in St. Maarten during our vacation. The other couple always had other friends with them. They had always found "other" places on the island for "many reasons". They inform me now, there is NO other place on the island like Beachside, and will be staying there from now on. I think they were trying to discover something that we had already found several years ago, perfection.

Yolanda, you know I look at all the details, being the General Manager of an 86 room hotel in New Haven. All I could say, is I wish we had all that talent in Connecticut.

I will be in touch with dates for next year. Please give my regards to all the staff, Irene, your family and of course you and Telly.

Dear Yolanda,

Well it finally happened!!! After three years of trying to get back to Beachside I finally made it, and what a great place it has become. You and your staff have done a wonderful job rebuilding the Villas after the brutal hurricanes. The pool area was in excellent condition and the grounds and beach were in beautiful shape as well.

My down time is very limited and when it comes available I value every minute. This vacation break couldn't have been scripted any better (unless it included a winning Power Ball ticket). American Airlines did a great job getting me to St. Maarten on time, a five minute taxi ride to the Villas and "let the un-winding begin".

I was a little apprehensive after our conversation regarding your regular property manager, Irene, being away and a temporary fill-in taking her place in her absence. Well any concerns I had quickly disappeared as soon as I got out of the taxi.

Your new manager, Marvlyn met us with a friendly greeting that made you feel welcome and "at home" immediately. She had the car rental agency & our car waiting for us, my Eastern Caribbean Cell phone was waiting for my activation approval and within a minute or two, I was connected. Marv walked us down to the Villa introducing us to the friendly service staff along the way. The Villa was ready for us with fresh flowers inside. The refreshment treats in the refrigerator were a welcome added touch. Marv gave us an orientation on the property, the Villa and it's amenities, locations of grocery stores and answered all of our questions. Every guest we spoke to, while we were there, had the same nice things to say.

When I can steal away again, hopefully in the near future, my plans will include another return trip to my "vacation home" in St. Maarten at the beautiful Beachside Villas.

Dear Yolanda:

Well here we are back at work and every day wet & cold. You know when you are on your holiday for two weeks by the end you feel you need to go home and just check all is OK - well it is and we want to come back to Beachside Villas. We had the most wonderful holiday and normally our type is to almost always go all-inclusive and never stay for more than one week on one island, but by the end of our two weeks we wanted to stay another. The villa was superb in location, with such a wonderful beach. The furnishings were just so relaxing and many a night we just sat on the deck with a bottle of wine watching the cruise ships sailing out.

We did hire a jeep and saw the island where everyone was so friendly, excellent restaurants. That is the only complaint, we just piled on the pounds!!

We hope to see you with another two friends next year and will certainly be recommending Beachside Villas to everyone.

Dear Telly & Yolanda:

We wanted to let you know once again what a wonderful time we had at Beachside Villas last month. Three of us are now "Villa-veterans," having stayed at the condos for two years running.

After a full season of Advent, Christmas and New Year's responsibilities, the condo was the perfect place to relax and unwind. It's amazing to be so close to the water and have such an extended stretch of secluded beachfront. The newly-rebuilt pool was an added touch, great for an evening swim.

This year we explored even more of the island. Marvlyn was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay: meeting us at the airport, making recommendations, calling in reservations, etc. We ate at some fantastic restaurants, had a great time snorkeling, visited Philipsburg, took in the view from Paradise Peak, and enjoyed Grand Case. These little side trips were extra perks. The Villas alone had all we needed for a great vacation: a beautifully furnished condo with the perfect beach outside the door.

As you know, we prayed a special prayer of blessing upon the property during our stay. In truth, we consider ourselves to have been the ones blessed by such a wonderful vacation.
